Capture & search
Two habits make everything else flow: capturing quickly so nothing is lost, and finding things again in a second.
Quick capture
Section titled “Quick capture”The fastest way to catch a task is the quick capture box:
- On My Day, capture drops the task into your Personal inbox — ideal for a stray thought mid-task.
- On a workspace’s Today or at the top of a project, capture files the task right there.
- The “+ add task” rows inside any list capture straight into that list or section.
Capture first, organize later. You don’t need to pick a project or date in the moment — just get it down.
Quick-add syntax
Section titled “Quick-add syntax”When you do want to set details in the moment, type them inline: #project, @person, a priority (p1–p4), and a date in plain language (tomorrow, next monday, 16 okt…). TinyHub parses them as you type and previews what it caught. For example, Draft the deck #Website tomorrow p1 files, schedules and prioritizes the task in one line. Full reference: Quick-add syntax.
⌘K — capture from anywhere
Section titled “⌘K — capture from anywhere”Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K), type your task — quick-add tokens and all — and choose Create task. It files into the workspace you’re currently in, without leaving whatever you were doing.
Search
Section titled “Search”Open search to jump to anything — tasks, notes and projects — across your workspaces. On desktop it’s always a keystroke away; on a phone, Search sits in the bottom tab bar.
When you first open search from a cold start it may briefly show a “Searching…” state while your data loads, then results appear as you type.
What’s next
Section titled “What’s next”- Tasks & projects → — where captured tasks find a home.
- Notifications → — let TinyHub remind you instead of holding it in your head.
