Notifications

TinyHub is quiet by default. You opt into more, never out of noise.

  • In-app — a bell in the top bar, with a badge for anything unread.
  • Email — for things worth leaving the app for.
  • Push — on your phone once you’ve installed TinyHub and allowed notifications.

Seven things. Five you can tune; two are transactional and always reach you.

What Where it can reach you Tunable
Morning digest — your day across every client In-app · Email Yes
Overdue tasks — a task passed its due date In-app · Push Yes
Timer reminders — a timer has run a long time In-app · Push Yes
Workspace members — someone joined one of your workspaces In-app · Push Yes
Comments on your work — someone commented on a task or note you’re on In-app · Email · Push Yes
Workspace invites — you’ve been invited to a workspace In-app · Push (plus the invitation email) No
Feedback replies — we replied to feedback you sent In-app · Push No

Comments are the one nudge that includes email, and deliberately: overdue tasks and running timers are reminders to yourself that you’ll see next time you open the app, whereas the failure a comment notification prevents is someone not opening the app while a question waits. Quiet hours and the daily cap still apply, so a busy thread can’t turn into a flood of mail.

There’s no “due soon” notification. The morning digest is that — one summary instead of a stream. And you’re never notified about your own comment.

Under Profile → Notifications you get a grid: every tunable category × every channel. Turn on only what helps.

You can also set quiet hours — during them only the in-app bell updates, with no email or push — and choose what time the morning digest arrives. TinyHub caps how much it sends in a day, so it never piles up.
