Notes ↔ tasks blocks
Most tools make you keep meeting notes in one place and action items in another, then keep them in sync by hand. TinyHub doesn’t: a task inside a note is the task.
In a note, press / and look under the TinyHub group:
/Task— a single real task, right in your writing. Search for an existing task or type a new title to create one./TodoList— a live embed of a project’s list, so the note shows whatever that list currently holds.
What “live” means
Section titled “What “live” means”These are the same tasks that appear in your task views, on My Day, and in your projects — not copies.
- Tick one in the note and it’s completed everywhere.
- Complete it from My Day and the note shows it ticked.
- Add a task to the embedded list from the project page and it appears in the note.
- Give it a date, an assignee or a comment anywhere, and it’s the same task carrying them.
Delete the block and you’ve only removed it from the note — the task itself survives, because a note is a place a task can appear, not where it lives.
Turning a checklist you already typed into real tasks
Section titled “Turning a checklist you already typed into real tasks”The usual way notes go wrong: you type a normal checklist during a meeting, because you’re listening rather than thinking about tooling, and afterwards it’s just text.
Select that block and use Convert to todo list from the block’s side menu. TinyHub reads the lines and offers to make them real — either as a project’s list or as just loose tasks if they don’t belong to a project yet.
A way of working
Section titled “A way of working”Write the meeting note as it happens, dropping in /Task blocks for action items as they come up —
or type an ordinary checklist and convert it afterwards. When the meeting ends, the actions are
already real tasks with a home, and the note still reads like a note.
